Happy New Year everyone! I trust that you had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family and hope that you will have a blessed 2018. My husband has started to work again while me and my 2 kids are still enjoying the rest of the school holiday.
A new year is a perfect excuse to treat yourself to some new clothes and accessories in order to update your look. I always tend to feel bored with my closet after the December holidays … it is almost as though my clothes feel ‘old’. Feeling as though you don’t have anything to wear is not ideal for kicking off a new year.
With only 6 weeks of summer left, I encourage you to start incorporating next seasons trends as well as timeless pieces into your wardrobe. The womenswear Fall/Winter 2017-18 and Spring/Summer 2018 shows in March and October 2017 gave us an insight into the direction fashion will be taking in 2018. With the newest trends in mind, I’ve rounded up some of the best pieces to start the new year in style.
The 80s hue was announced asPantone’s Colour of the Year and is set to infiltrate everything from our homeware to our wardrobes this year. You can look for style inspiration from Princess Diana, Kate Middleton and Kylie Jenner who has favoured this vibrant colour.
Luckily there are subtler options for us who are rather dubious of how to pull it off. The Catwalks showcased many alternatives, which are sure to suit any style.
Gucci showcased sleek satin blazers, while Victoria Beckham created chic purple designs, ranging from pastel lavender suits to indigo two pieces.
I couldn’t find any purple items in store yet … Get inspired by these images and be on the lookout for purple fashion items in store soon!
