ESSENTIALS IN MY MAKEUP BAG

I like to keep my makeup minimal and natural-looking. My makeup routine is pretty straight forward as I try to keep it simple. Here are my favourite tried and true essentials:

LONG WEAR CREAM SHADOW in Velvet Plum- Bobbi Brown.

This is my favourite eyeshadow. It is a cream eyeshadow that stays on and doesn’t crease. It goes on comfortably with a soft, velvety finish and is water-, sweat-, humidity- and transfer-resistant for up to 12 hours.

BLUSH in Coral – Bobbi Brown.

A silky powder blush that glides on smoothly and offers a matte finish with long-lasting wear.

MAC lipstick – Girl about town.

The creamy, moisturizing, full-coverage formula has a shiny finish. The fuchsia shade is bold, but it’s not offensively bright. In fact, its strong blue undertones give it enough depth to make it flattering on virtually anyone (seriously). Pair it with black liner and lots of mascara for a modern, vivid look.

PHOTO FINISH PRIMER WATER – SMASHBOX.

Wake up your makeup! Think priming benefits, hydration, and sheer radiance – all in just 1 spritz! This enriched water instantly absorbs into skin for lasting hydration, leaving skin looking refreshed and ultra soft while it locks in makeup.

I use it as a primer before makeup, as a setting spray to help keep makeup in place, and as a misting spray throughout the day to refresh my skin.

STAY DONT STRAY EYESHADOW PRIMER – Benefit

This dual-action power primer works 360 degrees around the eyes to make concealers AND eyeshadows STAY PUT. Concealers don’t crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant & true. Contains sodium hyaluronate known to hydrate and vitamins C & E known to help fight the signs of aging.

This is the best primer/ concealer I have ever used. It not only helps eyeshadows stay put but also brightens your under eye area when you use it as an under eye concealer. I use this as a concealer all over my face…

You’ll wonder how you ever lived without this lightweight multi-purpose hero!

MAX FACTOR – Clump Defy Mascara

Max Factor Clump Defy Volumising Mascara is a volumising mascara that defines lashes. The mascara features innovative technology in its clump-free lash loading brush which has evenly spaced, tightly formed bristles that stop clumps before they form and hug the lashes to define and separate. By ensuring the brush is loading well, the lashes are saturated with mascara to deliver a mega volume, high impact result.

I LOVE this mascara because it doesn’t flake and cause any residue under my eyes resulting in dark under eye circles.

CHANEL ILLUMINATING POWDER

Last but not least – I can’t live without my illuminating powder from Chanel.

This iridescent illuminating powder, textured with a radiance-boosting camellia, brightens up shadowy areas and accentuates the high points of the face that naturally catch the light for a glowing satiny makeup result.

Take a small amount of powder with your powder brush. Sweep it on from the outer corner of the eyebrow to the top of the cheekbones in a C movement.

This illuminating powder is talk free and provides you with a healthy looking ‘glow’.

These are my essential makeup products I can’t live without. As for eyeliners, foundation etc., I can’t really recommend anything as I am still looking for something that amazes me πŸ˜‰
