Getting enough sleep is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It’s no secret that I love my sleep and lots of it… The best way for me to relax after a tiring day is to take a hot bath and put on beautiful and comfortable nightwear. When Summer comes around, it is worth it to invest in PJs that will keep you cooler at night.
The most important factors in choosing sleepwear are their style, fabric, and comfort.
STYLE (to name a few)
CHEMISES – Chemises are gown-like delicate and extremely feminine garments. They are loose fitting, sleeveless, shirt-like garments. They are shorter in length and reach somewhere about the mid of your thigh. Silks, laces, trimmings, and bows are incorporated into the design to make them more appealing and feminine.
PAJAMAS – Pajamas are a classic wardrobe staple which provides modest coverage as well as comfort. This fashionable yet extremely comfortable sleepwear includes button-up shirts and lightweight trousers. They are available in silk, satin, cotton, polyester, flannel, etc.
SLEEP SHIRTS / NIGHT SHIRTS – Sleep Shirts are usually made of soft, breathable knits that let you sleep in comfort.
NEGLIGEES – Sheer negligees aren’t something that most women would wear to bed. Negligees were most commonly worn by the French during the eighteenth century. Today, it is popular bedroom wear and is designed with sheer and semi-translucent fabrics, lace trimmings, other fine material, and bows.
Choose sleepwear in a fabric that is comfortable and will keep you cool and dry while you sleep.
Cotton: Cotton is a natural fiber that’s soft, comfy, and lightweight and enables your skin to breath, making it an ideal choice for a good night’s sleep.
Silk: Silk is another wonderful lightweight natural fiber. It’s breathable with that luxuriously silky feel.
Bamboo: Bamboo fabric is biodegradable and hypoallergenic, which can make it indispensable for some. It’s super soft and good at temperature regulation.
Make sure to buy the correct size in order to ensure a comfortable loose fit. It’s also important to be wary of elastics or details that might be uncomfortable.
